Position: Electrical Engineer
Job Summary
Oilserv Limited is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design, develop, and oversee electrical systems for oil and gas facilities. The successful candidate will support EPCIC projects by ensuring electrical designs meet industry standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Design power distribution, lighting, grounding, and control systems.
Develop electrical single-line diagrams, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
Perform load calculations and voltage drop analysis.
Specify electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, motors, and cables.
Ensure compliance with IEEE, IEC, NEC, API, and other industry standards.
Participate in HAZOP studies and risk assessments.
Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
Prepare technical documentation and collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree (B.Sc. or B.Eng.) in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Master’s Degree is an added advantage.
COREN registration is mandatory.
Minimum of 7–10 years’ relevant experience in the oil and gas industry.
Experience in large-scale EPC projects (onshore and offshore preferred).
Strong knowledge of electrical engineering standards and hazardous area design.
