Job Title: Station Cashier

Location: Awo – Omamma, Imo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly committed, trustworthy, and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team at our Awo-Omamma Station/Outlet.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for the proper management, documentation, reconciliation, and safeguarding of cash and other financial transactions at the station.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and account for cash collections from Customer Service Attendants (CSAs).
  • Verify cash collections against sales records and relevant documentation.
  • Maintain accurate records of all cash received and transactions processed.
  • Ensure all station collections are properly reconciled and banked promptly in line with company procedures.
  • Monitor and safeguard cash in custody pending banking.
  • Report cash shortages, discrepancies, or irregularities promptly to the appropriate authority.
  • Maintain proper documentation of cash collections, banking, and related transactions.
  • Work closely with the Station Manager, Finance, Audit, and other relevant teams.
  • Ensure strict compliance with company cash-handling and financial control procedures.

Requirements

  • OND/HND/B.Sc. in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in cashiering, accounting, finance, or a similar role is an advantage.
  • Strong numerical, reconciliation, and record-keeping skills.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant office applications.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
