Cobranet Limited, a leading internet service provider in Nigeria, is recruiting a qualified and experienced professional to join its technical team as a Fiber Optics Engineer.

Fiber Optics Engineer
Key Responsibilities
- Install, rack, cable, bond, and ground customer premise equipment.
- Coordinate fiber activities with relevant departments and the OSP Construction Manager.
- Perform ring cuts on live fiber networks without disrupting existing services.
- Conduct fiber testing using OTDRs, light sources, and power meters.
- Splice, terminate, bond, ground, and test fiber optic equipment to company standards.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment locations, splicing, and terminations.
- Support the Construction and Engineering teams in commissioning fiber networks.
- Install fiber optic equipment, patch panels, and demarcation enclosures.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve faults affecting fiber networks and related equipment.
- Apply modern fiber splicing techniques and utilize industry-standard fiber optic tools.
- Work independently while providing effective technical solutions.
- Participate in on-call duties, night shifts, and overtime as required.
Requirements
- B.Sc. or HND in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in telecommunications or network operations.
- Strong knowledge of Cisco switching and routing configuration and troubleshooting.
- Good understanding of telecommunications equipment and multi-vendor network environments.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Applicants must be 25 years or older.
