We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head, Core Banking Operations

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Objective(s)

  • To lead the administration, stability, optimization, and continuous improvement of the Core Banking System (CBS), ensuring high availability, transaction integrity, regulatory compliance, and seamless support for all banking products and services.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations of the Core Banking Application and related banking modules.
  • Ensure high availability, resilience, and performance of the Core Banking platform.
  • Oversee product configuration, including account products, account onboarding, loans, deposits, GL structures, and interest engines.
  • Coordinate system releases, upgrades, patches, and parameter changes.
  • Lead incident, problem, and change management processes for the CBA environment.
  • Ensure data integrity, reconciliation accuracy, and end-of-day processing stability.
  • Collaborate with Middleware, Digital Channels, Risk, Finance, and Operations teams.
  • Support regulatory reporting requirements and audit compliance activities.
  • Drive automation and process optimization initiatives within core banking operations.
  • Manage vendor relationships and technical engagements with Core Banking providers.
  • Ensure disaster recovery readiness and business continuity compliance.
  • Lead performance monitoring and proactive system health management.

Job Requirements
Education:

  • Candidates should possess a B.Sc., B.Tech. or B.Eng. (Minimum of 2:2) in Electrical / Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or Physics / Electronics.

Others:

  • Certifications: ITIL v4 Project Management Certification (PMP/Prince2), Digital Banking or Fintech Certification

Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of IT / e-payments experience •Strong exposure to agency banking, fintech, or payment platforms.
  • Experience managing distributed transaction platforms.
