Job Summary
Our client, a leading Wine and Spirit Company, is seeking an experienced and results-driven Territory Trade Officer to manage trade operations, drive product availability and visibility, maximize sales opportunities, and strengthen relationships with key accounts and retail partners.

The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring outlet profitability, driving demand, managing merchandising standards, analyzing category and brand performance, and ensuring effective execution of trade and marketing plans.

Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and monitor outlet and channel profitability.
Establish service standards for Mega Accounts, measure performance against standards, and close identified gaps.
Manage debt reconciliation and recovery of aged debts for credit customers.
Conduct category and brand analysis by Mega Account and non-Mega Account and share insights with line managers.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of the company’s product range, including SKUs, brands, flavours, packaging, freshness, prices, and merchandising policies.
Maximize sales opportunities with Key Account shoppers and drive market share growth against competitors.
Ensure accurate data capture for Out-of-Stock, off-take reports, and other relevant records.
Rotate stock at points of sale and replace overage stock where necessary.
Follow structured store visit plans to improve product off-take across assigned locations.
Adhere to approved work schedules and route plans.
Support the implementation of company marketing plans.
Monitor and report competitive activities, new product launches, and other developments within assigned stores.
Build and maintain strong relationships with store managers, floor operations teams, supervisors, syndicated merchandisers, and other relevant stakeholders.
Represent the company at trade promotions, exhibitions, and expos.
Direct, guide, and oversee assigned direct and indirect associates.
Ensure products are available and maintained in good condition, applying the First-Expiry, First-Out (FEFO) principle where necessary.
Ensure assigned planograms are maintained according to company instructions.
Assist with the training and onboarding of new merchandisers.
Drive demand creation at store level, rather than simply servicing existing demand.

Requirements
Proven experience in wine and spirits sales or trade operations.
Candidates currently selling wine and spirits or with previous experience selling wine and spirits are encouraged to apply.
Strong understanding of key account management, merchandising, and trade marketing.
Ability to analyze outlet, category, and brand performance.
Strong sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
Ability to monitor stock availability, product freshness, and merchandising standards.
Good reporting and data management skills.
Ability to work independently and effectively manage assigned territories.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

N400,000 per month
